About Us

Most cancer patients require specialists in several areas to perform a range of services including diagnosis, treatment and management. At Cancer Care Centers of Florida we specialize in the treatment of cancer patients by radiation therapy.

Since 1983 we have been serving our community with state-of-the-art equipment and a team of cancer specialists from around the world. Our goal is to provide the best and most advanced care possible for patients requiring radiation therapy.

At Cancer Care Centers of Florida we treat each patient as an individual knowing that each person has their own special experiences and concerns which can affect their well being.

Radiation Therapy

Radiation therapy is the use of high energy X-rays to destroy diseased tissue while minimizing damage to healthy normal cells. A linear accelerator is a machine that produces the radiation, which is then directed thru an opening with customized blocks to protect healthy tissue. Currently more than 50% of cancer patients in the United States will receive radiation therapy in conjunction with surgery and or chemotherapy.

Our centers have been constructed and equipped with both a Varian and Siemens Linear Accelerator. The accelerators have advanced radiotherapy technology, special computers, electronic sensing devices and metering equipment to assure you of the most up-to-date methods in cancer treatment. We also perform all treatment planning with a GE CT scanner.
