V. Rao Emandi, M.D., FACRO
Dr. Emandi is a specialist in the management of cancer by radiation therapy and is the Medical Director of CANCER CARE CENTERS OF FLORIDA. He received his medical degree from Andhra University in Walthair, India and obtained his diploma in Medical Radiotherapy which is recognized by the Faculty of Radiologists in London, England. He was head of radiotherapy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Barbados. He served his residency at Mt. Sinai Hospital in NYC where he was a research fellow, instructor and consultant. He is past president of the American Cancer Society and has served as medical advisor and chairman to the prostate cancer force. Dr. Emandi has recently been awarded a fellowship from the American College of American College of Radiation Oncology (ACRO).

Sanjay K. Emandi, M.D.
Dr. Sanjay Emandi is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist and the son of our medical director Dr. V. Rao Emandi. Dr. Sanjay Emandi attended college at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He then received his M.D. degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He completed his 4 year radiation oncology residency at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL ,where he also served as Chief Resident. He has extensive training in Brachytherapy, 3-D Conformal Therapy, and IMRT. He has a special interest in treating prostate, breast, lung, and colorectal cancers.

Kum Sug Song, M.D.
Dr. Song joined our staff in 1986 after serving as radiation oncologist for the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA. He graduated from the Korean University Medical School in Seoul. After completing his tour as medical officer in the Korean Navy, he did his residency in radiotherapy at Northwestern University. Medical School, first at the VA Research Hospital and then at Wesley Memorial Hospital. Dr. Song completed his radiotherapy residency at Harper Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Song has been on staff at Providence Hospital in Southfield, MI, was a Fellow at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC, staff radiotherapist at Berkshire Medical Center at Pittsfield, MA, and assistant professor at Albany Medical College in NY. He is Board Certified in Therapeutic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology. |
